Short games for a fifteen-minute commute

May 14, 2026 · Anna Keller

Long RPGs are great at home, but my commute wants something I can start and stop without guilt. That's a different kind of game, and it's worth keeping a few around.

Coin Strike fits perfectly here. A round lasts seconds, so I can play one or ten depending on how long the train takes. Dustline Rally works too — a single rally track is short enough to squeeze between stops.

The key trait is a clean exit. The best commute games let you leave at any moment without feeling like you abandoned something. Anything with long unskippable sequences gets uninstalled fast.

Keep one twitchy game and one relaxed one on your phone. On a rough morning I want Garden of Cogs; on a good one I want to beat my Dustline Rally time.
